How to Connect a Ricoh Copier to a Network

Plug the printer cable that came with your Ricoh printer into both the printer and a computer that is already part of the desired network. If you prefer a wireless connection, attach a wireless LAN card to your printer.
From the 'Start' menu, click the Control Panel option. Select the Printer folder. This may also show as the Printer and Other Hardware folder, depending on which operating system you are using.
Select the task to view installed printers or fax printers, and check for the icon for your Ricoh printer. If no icon is showing, return to the 'Printer' folder and select the task to add a printer. Follow the instructions for the 'Add Printer' wizard.
Right-click the icon for your Ricoh printer. On the menu that pops up, select 'Properties.' Go to the 'Shared' tab and click on the 'Share This Printer' option. If the Shared option is disabled on your computer for security purposes, run the 'Network Setup' wizard that will appear in the menu. Click 'OK' to close the printer options.
Give each user who is allowed access the location of the printer on the network. Choose at least one of the remote printers to run a test print to confirm that the printer's settings are correct.
