How to Scan Photos With the Canon MP520 Printer


Lift the top cover to expose the scanner component of the Canon PIXMA MP520.
Turn the photo face-down and place it on the glass panel. Use the plastic guides on the sides of the panel to align the photo with the left-rear corner of the panel.
Lower the top cover of the PIXMA MP520.
Push the arrow buttons on the PIXMA MP520 control panel to highlight 'Scan' on the left side of the display, and then push 'OK.'
Push the arrow buttons to select 'Color Photo' or 'Black and White Photo,' then push 'OK.'
Push the arrow buttons to select the size of the photo and desired scanning resolution, and then push 'OK.'
Push 'Color' or 'Black' to scan the photo in color or black and white, respectively. After a moment the scanned photo appears in the MP Navigator utility on your computer.
Click the 'Save' button to save the image as a file on your computer.
