How to Remove a Brother Hl2140 Cartridge

Turn the printer on. The printer must be powered on before proceeding.
Open the front cover by pulling the handle (the cupped depression in the front panel of the printer) downward and toward you.
Grip the toner cartridge and drum unit by inserting your hand into the ribbed depression on the underside of the cartridge.
Pull up and out to release the cartridge and drum unit.
Place the cartridge and drum unit on a piece of newspaper or paper towel to prevent toner from scattering.
Press down on the green lever on the left side of the unit to release the cartridge.
Pull the cartridge out of the cartridge and drum unit and place it in a sealable bag. Handle it carefully to avoid spilling toner.
