How to Set Up a Network With an HP J6480 Wireless Printer

Prepare to set up a wireless network with your printer by making sure your wireless Internet is set up. Also, make sure you know your Service Set Identifier (SSID), Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) key.
Insert the HP J6480 wireless printer installation CD into the CD-ROM drive of your computer. Follow the instructions from the installation window that appears.
Click on the “Recommended” option from the Installation Type screen. Select the “Through the network” option and then click on the “Next” button.
Click on the “Next” button again. Click on your wireless network and then click on the “Next” button. Enter the network security key and click on the “Next” button.
Allow for the connection process to complete. Turn your HP J6480 wireless printer on and connect the USB cable to the back of the printer as prompted to in the instructions. Click on the “Finish” button when the process is complete.
