How to Print Remotely From a MacBook Air

Connect your Wi-Fi printer to the network by entering your network name and password through the printer's menu. To use printer sharing, connect a printer without Wi-Fi to another Mac. You will need to enable sharing before the printer can be discovered by the MacBook Air.
Enable sharing of the networked printer on the computer it is connected to by clicking the Apple menu, then 'System Preferences' then 'Printer & Fax.' Click on the printer from the list and select 'Share this printer.'
Navigate to the 'Printer & Fax' menu on your MacBook Air. Click 'Add' to set up a printer. Click 'Default' to search for the Wi-Fi or shared printer. Select the printer and click 'Add.' Now when you print something, you can choose the printer from the drop-down menu of the prompt.
