How to Install an HP 4200 All
Insert the installation disk that came with your HP 4200 printer into the disk drive of your computer. Click “Run” when the system asks permission to run the installation wizard.
Click “Install” on the main screen. Follow the screen prompts to download and install the printer drivers to your computer. Indicate whether to install the HP updates automatically or if you want to do so manually. Click “Next.”
Select whether to install all of the software available on the disk or each component separately. Click “Next.” Click “I agree” to accept the HP license terms.
Connect the USB cable to the printer and your computer’s USB port when prompted by the installation wizard. Click “Next” when the system indicates it recognizes the HP 4200 printer.
Restart your computer when prompted and click “Finish” when the installation wizard indicates it is done. Use your HP 4200 printer as desired.
Verify that your computer is connected to the Internet.
Connect the HP 4200’s USB cable from the port located on the back side of the printer to your computer’s USB port. Verify that the HP 4200 is turned on.
Click “Install device drivers” to start downloading and installing the printer drivers to your computer.
Click the X when your computer displays “Your devices are ready to use” in a popup on the lower, right-hand corner of the screen. Use your HP 4200 printer as desired.
