How to Set Up a Netgear Wireless Printer (7 Steps)

Attach the Netgear wireless print server to your wireless network's router with a network cable. You'll remove this cable after installation is finished.
Verify your printer is plugged in and turned on. If your printer is already connected to the network, the print server will identify it automatically. If your printer isn't yet connected to your wireless network, connect it to the print server with a network cable.
Plug in the print server and give it a few seconds to fully power up.
Install the printer server software by inserting the installation CD in a network computer. An installation wizard will open to guide you through configuration.
Enter your wireless network password and any additional passcodes you set up with your wireless network. You'll also establish your print server security as part of the configuration wizard.
Unplug the temporary network cable from between the wireless router and the print server.
Print any document to make sure the print server comes up on the list of available printers. You can make the server your default printer when you perform the print test.
