How to Set Up a Wireless Printer With Airport Express

Connect your printer to the AirPort Express using a USB cable. (Check your printer's manual for details.) One end of the cable attaches to the printer's USB port and the other end of the cable attaches to the USB port on the bottom of the AirPort Express router.
Open the AirPort Utility. If you are using a Mac, the AirPort Utility is located in the 'Applications' folder. On a PC, Press 'Windows-S,' type 'AirPort Utility' into the Search box and press 'Enter.' In the search results list, click 'Airport Utility.' THe AirPort Utility application opens.
Click the 'Manual Setup' button at the bottom of the AirPort Utility window; this opens the Summary page, with tabs for accessing the various settings of your AirPort Express router.
Turn on the printer.
Click the 'Printers' tab on the Summary page. A new window opens showing the model name of the printer that is connected to the AirPort Express. Next to the printer's model name, there will be an open box. Clicking this box will place a check mark and indicate that you wish to use the connected printer for wireless printing.
Click the 'Update' button at the bottom of the screen to apply the new settings and restart the AirPort Express router. Your network will be temporarily unavailable while the router is restarting. Once the router has restarted, close the AirPort utility. Any computer that is connected to your wireless network will now be able to print wirelessly via the AirPort Express router.
