How to Use a Lexmark All

Connect the USB cable from the Lexmark all-in-one scanner to the computer. Plug the unit in and power it on.
Log on to your computer and watch the lower right-hand corner of the screen for the 'found new hardware' message. This is your indication that the operating system has found the hardware and is installing the software for it. If you do not see the 'found new hardware' message, insert the software CD that came with the Lexmark all-in-one scanner.
Open the top of the unit and spray a small amount of glass cleaner on the scanner glass. It is important that the glass is clean--if the glass is dirty the quality of the scans will be poor. Use a soft, clean cloth to clean the glass thoroughly. Make sure that the cloth you use is very soft--if the cloth is not soft enough it could scratch the glass.
Place the page you want to scan on the scanner glass and close the lid. The side of the scanner will have an arrow that indicates how the paper should be positioned.
Go back to your computer and click on the 'Start' button. Click on 'All Programs' and look for 'Lexmark' on the menu. Look for the scanning option under the Lexmark menu to start the scanning process. The scanner will automatically process the page that is on the scanner glass.
