How to Download and Install a Dell A940 Printer

Unplug your Dell A490 printer and restart your computer.
Open your Internet browser, such as Firefox or Internet Explorer.
In the Web address bar, type in 'http://support.dell.com/support/downloads.' This will bring you to the Dell online driver guide.
Select 'choose a model.'
Select 'printer' from the list of supported devices.
Scroll down and select 'A490' from the list. Click 'confirm.'
Select your operating system (such as Windows XP or Vista) from the drop-down list.
Select 'download' next to the driver.
Click 'open' or 'run' when the dialogue box pops up. This will begin your download as well as the installation process.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
Restart your computer and reconnect the power supply to the printer.
