How to Print to a USB Printer From DOS (4 Steps)
Type 'print' (without quotes) into the MS-DOS command prompt.
Press the space bar and type the exact location of the file you want to print into the MS-DOS command prompt. For example, if the file you're trying to print was on your 'C' drive, you would type 'c:[file name]' into the prompt, replacing '[file name]' with the actual name and extension of the file you're trying to print.
Press the space bar and type the location of the USB printer you want to use into the MS-DOS command prompt using the device command. When finished, your USB printer device information should resemble '/d: [printer port]', replacing '[printer port]' with the actual USB port number your USB printer is using.
Hit 'Enter' to print your document to your USB printer from MS-DOS.
