How to Put Paper in a Brother Printer
Unfold the paper output support flap, located at the top of the printer.
Pull the paper tray, located at the bottom of the printer, completely out of the machine. The paper tray is integrated so well into the design of Brother printers that you may not notice it at first glance. To help you find it, look for a small lip, built into the front panel of the paper tray. This lip is meant to give you an easy grasp.
Fan a small stack of paper several times. This separates the sheets, making them less likely to cause paper-feeding problems.
Lay the stack of paper print-side down and completely flat in the paper tray.
Adjust the paper guides by pressing down on the blue lever to accommodate the height and width of the paper you are using.
Push the paper tray back into the printer.
